Fr. Mathew Vazhappallil (Tespur)
Fr. Mathew was born on 16th September 1960, as the son of Abraham and Elikkutty of Vazhappallil family. He completed his schooling from Vayala and Kadaplamattam. In 1977 he joined the seminary as a priesthood aspirant for Tespur diocese in Assam. He was ordained by Bishop Mar Joseph Mamalassheri on 2nd January 1989. He has completed his graduation and post-graduation in Sociology. He has served as a teacher and principal of various schools, as vicar of several parishes in the diocese of Tespur. He now serves as the vicar and principal of Rowta parish and school.
